The Diné and Hopi reservations and their people are suffering greatly during this Covid19 pandemic. Many do not have running water in which to bathe or wash their hands, nor do they have electricity. Money is needed for food, masks, gloves, to buy water tanks to drive the water and regular soap to remote areas. Anti-bacterial soap is also needed to be bought or materials so that masks can be made on the reservation. Material is needed for masks, and we are raising money for PPE for medical and nursing professionals and all those who work on the frontlines.
Money, masks, and all donations will be mailed and given to our Traditional Spiritual community relatives who can be trusted to get these supplies to those in need. Like in the USA, many who are in need are not getting the supplies that they need from their own government.
The goal of the campaign is to reach as many of the inhabitants of the Diné and Hopi reservations as possible with essential, life-supporting supplies, such as masks, PPE, soap, seeds, food, and clean water, so that they may remain safe, sheltered, and to support their good health during the COVID19 pandemic. Our intent is to assist both reservations in stopping the spread of the virus. The fund will continue until there is no further need for the fund.
Loving Yourself, Each Other & Grandmother Earth
Greetings Everyone,
We write on the heels of the impeachment hearings and the Senators denying witnesses, documents and now the Senate Acquittal. All around us, we hear people crying. All of your and our ancestors and Grandmother are suffering, not only from the greed of our government but of many governments. Nonetheless, so much information and documents will keep being leaked. The Spirits and Other Beings from other Galaxies are working hard to help the human civilizations of two-leggeds evolve into a world paradigm of peace, prayer, and love. A world where all Living Beings have the right to live in harmony and balance with each other.
We write so you will Rememberthat you are the reason our world will change; the reason it will become more encased and enriched in a Medicine Wheel of Rainbow Light and Love. We write to help you remember you are always Divinely guided. You are never alone. The Spirits are with you and us, giving us all hope as they work behind the scenes!
As we begin this newsletter, we have spent the afternoon preparing sacred things for prayer. Tonight, we will join a community of other Sundancers in a sweat lodge. This is our second week together, and last week, there were 30-ish of us huddled together praying. Since taking a vow as a child to Protect Grandmother Earth and all the Living Beings who live with her, and as a Water Protector (Mni Wiconi), you are one of our relatives. And so, my relatives, we take you into the sweat to pray for each of you and for all Living Beings. Imagine how blessed we are to have this sweat family so more and more prayers can be sent out into the world.
We learned from a dear friend that today, Feb. 1st, is Imbolc in the Celtic Wheel, as well as Brigit’s Feast Day; the Irish Mother Goddess who was driven underground by the patriarchy. As the midpoint between Winter Solstice and the Vernal Equinox, we will pray at a sacred time with the Celtics! Every day is sacred somewhere, and still, it is so important to remember the sacredness of each day. In our own world and hearts.
Continuing the following day…
The Spiritswere active last night. It was a hot sweat, fostering the purging and purification of all that is happening in ourselves and the world.
What stands out most to us, is the question of how do you learn to love yourself during the time of the Bear in Hibernation? Many will have a hard time in February, feeling alone in the midst of all the marketing hype of Valentine’s Day. In those moments, remember that Creation made only one you… Love yourself, do something special to celebrate yourself, and what you have already accomplished, as your journey is not over. It may be just starting to unfold in new and wondrous ways. Fill the vacuum for yourself. Let go of whatever does not serve you: clothes, people, situations- give them away on Valentine’s Day or before! In this way, love yourself and create the opening and room for new opportunities of love to enter into your life. Feel the love of Grandmother, as you eat and wear her bounty every day. Send her Love, perhaps in the form of a Valentine, as she needs to know you remember her daily! Go hug a Stand Still Person (tree) and celebrate you are alive. Learn how to love yourself. Grow deep roots of self-love. Each day is a gift; be it easy or hard, it is always a gift.
Until we see each other again, Many Blessings,
Mitakuye Oyasin (We are All Related),

Denver Climate Strike – Friday, December 6, 2020
After more than 7 million people went on climate strike around the world the week of September 20th, Sunrise Movement, Fridays for Future, the Youth Climate Strike Coalition, and other Denver, Colorado friends and allies went on a global climate strike on Friday, December 6th at 11:00am. The group focused on the 2020 election and urged Congress to pass the Green New Deal. They want to end all fossil fuel expansion, hold fossil fuel companies responsible for damage, and transition to 100% renewable energy.
Greta Thunberg Global Strike
Teenage Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg delivered a familiar rallying cry to young protesters in Denver on Friday, calling on them to fight climate change and chastising adults in power for not doing enough.
“This is a movement with millions upon millions of people telling world leaders to act on the science. And we are demanding a safe future for everyone,” Thunberg, 16, told a crowd gathered at downtown’s Civic Center Park for a climate strike.
The demonstration drew more than 7,000 people, organizers said.
Stop Fracking Our Future
Stop Fracking Our Future. During the final strike action, hundreds of activists and community members took the future they want into their own hands, planting a guerilla garden on a proposed fracking site in Broomfield.
Broomfield residents know all too well the dangers that fracking poses to their community’s health, safety, and quality of life. Their children are experiencing chronic nose bleeds, they are experiencing hair loss, and are no longer able to enjoy their backyards and community parks due to the emissions and noise from fracking operations. Broomfield’s residents have had enough. They are outraged that corporations are still able to frack hundreds of feed from homes, schools, and hospitals. They know that action must be taken.
Global Climate Strike
It has been EXCITING times in our world. It’s been a busy week, and a few years working hard at changing our paradigm from one of greed and power to a new paradigm of love, peace and prayers. It can be hard to navigate the lies, the corruption, and the negativity, BUT then came the GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE and GLOBAL CLIMATE WEEK!
Young Greta Thunberg and all the youth all over the world are showing all of us; their elders, what they need and want. They are showing us what kind of world they want to grow up in. They are fighting to stop the pipelines, change emissions, keep the water sacred, protecting all Living Beings, and nothing short of saving Grandmother Earth in all ways imaginable. The list is endless! Many even threw in to stop gun violence. They want to live their lives safely and in peace!
We were blessed to be able to join 350 in Colorado, and will do so again this weekend to support them at the fracking sites and every other organization to save Grandmother Earth. You are all in this with us, we know. Each and everyone of you has a heart of gold, and such compassion, that your prayers are joining forces with everyone around the world to save Grandmother Earth. We are including a link to our live speech at the Denver Climate Strike that we were blessed to march and be a part of, because of the Indigenous Youth, leader, Thomas Lopez and his incredible family, who helped to organize. He honored us with that privilege. Download the video here.
We know that all of you are working hard each day to share your love, your compassion, your insight and intuition to support others you work with, and all the other Living Beings. We are so blessed that you all exist and that you are the lights that outshine the darkness and forces who think otherwise that we, the people, do not matter. You show people they matter everyday in your work, in your relationships, and in anyone’s lives that you touch. WE are proud to say we know you. We support you to continue in what you are doing and with that you thank you, and are grateful to you.
Creation is supporting us all, and world events in our country and abroad are unfolding where leaders will expose themselves and not be able to “UN-EXPOSE” themselves, and those who have been covering will be forced to wake up and forced to take stand, or the light will blind them trying to help them SEE!
It is a wonderful time to be alive to see such a coming together of all races, all people of all walks of life, all gender identifications; all asking and wanting collaboration with each other. We hope someday that we do not have to label ourselves, as it separates us from each other; and hope that one day we can just call ourselves HUMAN BEINGS!
We were so inspired by the youth, and by the other speakers.. it was so awesome! We ask you to join us in prayer to save our Grandmother Earth for the next 49 generations. Let’s pray so everyone can live with clean water, clean air, clean soil, clean food as medicine, and so we all can help heal ourselves, other Living Beings, heal our mistakes and the mistakes of our ancestors.
We wish you all answered prayers and wondrous weeks to come, and may you each be inspired by the youth that rally to teach us and ask for all our help to save the Grandmother Earth so they have a future.

Forgiveness Ceremony At Standing Rock Casino
On Monday, Native Americans conducted a forgiveness ceremony with U.S. veterans at the Standing Rock casino, giving the veterans an opportunity to atone for military actions conducted against Natives throughout history.
In celebration of Standing Rock protesters’ victory Sunday in halting construction on the Dakota Access Pipeline, Leonard Crow Dog formally forgave Wes Clark Jr., the son of retired U.S. Army general and former supreme commander at NATO, Wesley Clark Sr.
Salon published Clark’s apology to the Natives, which read as follows:
Many of us, me particularly, are from the units that have hurt you over the many years. We came. We fought you. We took your land. We signed treaties that we broke. We stole minerals from your sacred hills. We blasted the faces of our presidents onto your sacred mountain. When we took still more land and then we took your children and then we tried to make your language and we tried to eliminate your language that God gave you, and the Creator gave you. We didn’t respect you, we polluted your Earth, we’ve hurt you in so many ways but we’ve come to say that we are sorry. We are at your service and we beg for your forgiveness.
This was a historically symbolic gesture forgiving centuries of oppression against Natives and honoring their partnership in defending the land from the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Chief Leonard Crow Dog offered forgiveness and urged for world peace, responding that “we do not own the land, the land owns us.”
Natives Faith Spotted Eagle and Ivan Looking Horse also spoke at the ceremony.

Standing Rock: Critical Injuries After Police Attack with Water Cannons, Rubber Bullets in Freezing Temps
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Standing Rock: Critical Injuries After Police Attack with Water Cannons, Rubber Bullets in Freezing Temps
Monday, November 20, 2016 3:00pm
Prepared by Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council at the Standing Rock Dakota Access Pipeline Resistance Camps
The Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council responded to a mass casualty incident that began at 6pm yesterday evening. Approximately 300 injuries were identified, triaged, assessed and treated by our physicians, nurses, paramedics and integrative healers working in collaboration with local emergency response. These 300 injuries were the direct result of excessive force by police over the course of 10 hours. At least 26 seriously injured people had to be evacuated by ambulance to 3 area hospitals.
Police continuously assaulted demonstrators with up to three water cannons for the first 7 hours of this incident in subfreezing temperatures dipping to 22F (C) causing hypothermia in the majority of patients treated. Chemical weapons in the form of pepper spray and tear gas were also used extensively, requiring chemical decontamination for nearly all patients treated and severe reactions in many. Projectiles in the form of tear gas canisters, rubber bullets, and concussion grenades led to numerous blunt force traumas including head wounds, lacerations, serious orthopedic injuries, eye trauma, and internal bleeding.
Every emergency medical unit from the Standing Rock Sioux reservation responded to the incident and additional ambulances were sent from Cheyenne River Sioux tribe (South Dakota), Kidder County, and Morton County. 3 seriously injured patients were transported directly by ambulance from the scene and another 23 patients were transported by ambulance after initial assessment and treatment in camp. Injuries from the mass casualty incident include:
• An elder who lost consciousness and was revived on scene
• A young man with a grand mal seizure
• A woman shot in the face by a rubber bullet with subsequent eye injury and compromised vision
• A young man with internal bleeding who was vomiting blood after a rubber bullet injury to his abdomen
• A man shot in the back near his spine by a rubber bullet causing blunt force trauma and a severe head laceration
• Multiple fractures secondary to projectiles fired by police
The Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council condemns the excessive police violence and calls upon law enforcement to cease and desist these nearly lethal actions. Specifically, we demand the cessation of water cannons in subfreezing temperatures.
Our volunteers performed well under challenging circumstances last night, but we would not have been able to do this without the help of water protectors and local community members who transported patients to our clinic, organized warming spaces, and provided food and tea. We specifically want to thank the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe EMS services for their excellent response and highest quality care in an unprecedented situation. “They were phenomenal. They recognized the severity of what we were dealing with, it could have been a lot worse” said Jazmine, a volunteer physician from the Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council.

Hail Mary Move to Dis-elect Trump
We recently received this message from the Avaaz Community and felt compelled to shaer:
More Americans voted for Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump! That’s right, Clinton won the popular vote, but the electoral college system will silence the people’s voice. But there’s an incredible Hail Mary plan that could still stop Trump — if we act really fast!
The Popular Vote Plan is genius. It’s legislation that would guarantee the candidate who receives the most popular votes is elected, and it only needs the support of enough states to equal 270 electoral votes to pass. 10 states are on board, and 4 have pending legislation, so it’s already 3/4 of the way there!
The electoral college meets in a few weeks to decide our next president — and if we can create enormous national pressure on the few holdout states to adopt the plan before it’s too late, we can still stop Trump from becoming the next president. Let’s make this massive!
The electoral college system is a disaster for our democracy. It forces presidential candidates to focus all their energy on a small fraction of their voters — leading to crazy policies like the enormous agricultural subsidies designed to appease farmers in the electorally-important state of Iowa — and it leaves 75% of voters without a voice in who runs our country.
To officially get rid of the electoral college would require a constitutional amendment. But what’s so brilliant about the Popular Vote Plan is that it doesn’t need a change to the constitution, it just needs the consensus of enough states. Here’s how it would work: states pass legislation saying they will give all their electoral college votes to the winner of the national popular vote, and, when there are enough states to represent 270 electoral votes, the legislation becomes binding.
In 2004, Bush became president in the exact same way Trump is set to. Right after the election, there was huge outrage over the electoral college — but then our attention moved on. This time, we must seize the moment and do everything we can to stop Trump from becoming president.
Democracy is at the core of Avaazers’ DNA. We come together around the idea that the world we want is a dream shared by most people everywhere — not just the vision of the few. This is a chance to take a step towards that vision despite the darkness of the last few days, and to put our country on the path to a better future.
Slow Food USA Supports Standing Rock
A Recent Message from our Friends at Slow Food USA:
At Terra Madre Salone del Gusto in September, activist Winona LaDuke asked our national gathering to “put yourself on the front lines.” As the Dakota Access Pipeline protests heat up, her words ring true:
“In our teachings, we have a prophecy called ‘the time of the seventh fire.’ It says we the Anishinaabe people will have a choice between two paths. One is well worn, but it is scorched. The other path is not well worn, but it is green. The time to choose our path is now. It is the choice that is upon all of us. It is a choice between life and death, a choice between oil and water, a choice for our food and our future.”
Many of our Slow Food Turtle Island friends are at Standing Rock. Will you stand with them? We are a vast network that can make a difference. Read Winona’s full address, then call the White House and make your voice heard.
Any fight for land is a fight for good, clean, fair food for all.
In solidarity,
Richard McCarthy
A Heartfelt Prayer
NO one can legislate or own our Heart, NO one can legislate or own our Mind, NO one can own or legislate our Power, NO one can own or legislate our Love and NO one can own or legislate our Spirit! We are all Divinely Guided! Nothing is Impossible! It is Our Birthright to Thrive! ALL our Ancestors have proven this! Our ability to love is beyond measure! We move ahead with more conviction to create a Council Gathering of the Ancestors and Elders that will include all races, all faiths, all sexual orientations, and all generations! May we live as ONE Family of humans, animals, plants, Water of Life (Mini Wiconi) and all the elements, to grow and walk on Grandmother Earth with Love, Respect and Integrity.
Election Day and Standing Rock
We recently received this email from Tracy B. Ann and wanted to share! This is how we can help with #NoDAPL on #ElectionDay!
Help Get Out The Vote for Standing Rock in North Dakota: “With the whole nation, and even many parts of the world, watching with growing interest what is happening at Standing Rock, this is the perfect time for us to reach out and help North Dakota. As outside oil interests, with the help of current government officials, try to steamroll a pipeline past citizens and the First People of North Dakota, it’s a chance for us to go into action. There are people running for office in North Dakota who would not have allowed this in the first place, would have stopped it in the second place and never would have let peaceful protesters be attacked in the third place.”

We can start by sharing this on our Facebook and asking them to share as well!
The simple math of “6 degrees of separation” says we will reach a whole bunch of voters in ND with this list of candidates who can, and will, do something about this and future pipelines.

Standing Rock – Support from Jewish Community
We received this letter from the Jewish Community yesterday in regards to North Standing Rock and wanted to share:
We are asking you to join 17 Rabbis — leaders from every stream of American Jewish life — in signing the following statement, calling for an end to the building of the Dakota Access Pipe Line and supporting the Lakota Nation and other Native Nations in their opposition to it.
The two of us are adding our own urgency because even in the few days since the statement was drafted, the situation at Standing Rock in North Dakota has become one of life and death.
The police appear to be on the verge of clearing the Water-Protectors camp that is on the pipeline route.
It would be a sad and horrifying continuation of one of the worst strands of American history, if in this Native-led effort to protect Native lands, the Missouri River, and our Mother Earth, a Native person were to be killed. We need to do what we can to prevent that.
This is not only about American history, American values, and the American future. Torah teaches us both to protect the Earth and to nurture the “outsiders” among us.
The Native Nations are taking prayerful nonviolent action to protect the water for all of us. The knowledge that Mini Wa’coni — Water is Life — is the guiding principle of all their actions. During the week that one of us (Rabbi Liebling) spent there, every meeting, every action began with prayer. Until 1978 it was illegal for Native peoples to practice their religion — part of the cultural genocide that was and is inflicted on them — so even the act of public prayer is reclaiming their way of life. As Rabbis, we remember the days when the Jewish community was dealt with in these ways – and we utterly reject this behavior by American governments and corporations.
Racism is the original sin of America, and the Native Nations were the first victims. To redeem our nation from racism, we must begin with the First Nations. From the bottom of our hearts we ask you to sign this statement. And we ask you to share this letter and statement with your colleagues, inviting them to sign as well.
You can sign by clicking here.
Peace and Blessings,

We are one family…all races.. One Humanity….only the government, corporations and greed have no idea.. Let’s all stand together. This was sent by my brother, Professor A.L.I., a devout Muslim. We love you, bro. #NoDAPL#WeStandInSolidarty #StandingRock
Standing Alone on Standing Rock? By Professor A.L.I.
Redirect the pipeline towards holy land; a pilgrimage towards pollution.
Irrigation upon faces, standing firm upon Rock; Facing the East in prayer, no ablution.
And ignorance loaded in gun chambers, wielded by ignorants are deemed solutions.
Hear the thunder, as the buffalo pound their fists into the earth causing your confusion.
Our clarity, is the eye of the storm, why not redirect the filthy pipe towards lily white fields?
Is it because White Privilege is your sacred cow; the golden bull before which you kneel?
So your holiness is to be protected, while ours demolished, while it’s hidden from view.
Indeed Plymouth Rock landed on us, now Standing Rock now lands upon you.
What will you do?
